What is tangible. If I take $20 from you to buy a movie ticket and fetch it from you and simply buy it for you is that tangible. The same is true with lawyers taking $700 and getting an EAD. You could do it yourself but assume its safer to do it via someone in whose self interest it is if your case has problems.

Folks, no changes in PD can be taken in atleast some positive note:
USCIS may be pre-adjudicating the cases and getting them ready to approval when eventually the final quarter spill-over happens. I think they would do it in more orderly way this time having all this time to look over the pending cases and get a better idea of pending cases based on the priority date.

Then why not Lord Ganesha can be on a bottle. I think it acts more like a stop sign, a sort of warning label to all the habitual drinkers:

People like VHP and Bajrang Dal do this to exploit divisions that result in more votes for them (its almost the way Hitler exploited divisions against the Jews). As educated, skilled, tech-savvy, responsible adults atleast we should all refrain from getting caught up in all this.
Move on guys. Worry about retrogression and priority dates. Even those stupid threads on LUDs are more productive than this one.

There seems to be a lot of misconceptions on what to do when stopped by CBP (Customs & Border Protection), colloquially known as "Border Patrol".
Border Patrol Agents are federal agents and answer to no state/local authorities except their own. Despite misconceptions on their authority and the civil rights issues of road blocks, Border Patrol agents are authorized to detain and make arrests based on the following -
a. Inability to establish identity
b. Inability to establish immigration status
c. Trafficking - Narcotics, Weapons, Tobacco, Alcohol etc. etc.
d. Detain/arrest felons with federal warrants
e. Enforce laws related to trade agreements/customs
As far as what gives the CBP the right to stop/search you,

Children 15 years of age and younger are exempt from the passport requirement, although they will be required to have copies of their birth certificate. (The copy does not have to be certified, xerox copies are ok, but certified is always better.) You will be detained if the Border Agent decides that there is enough suspicion to do so but it is up to the discretion of the agent. Technically, you are supposed to carry documentation, IN ORIGINAL. Some exceptions are those who have a valid Driver's License from states who have implemented the "REAL-ID" act.

As in, if you have a delivery confirmation from Fedex/UPS does it have any significance? It is still not clear if it will be accepted/ rejected AFAIK.
Have there been any applications that were not even "accepted" because the "packet" suggested it was an AOS application?
More likely, applications can be rejected for being "improperly filed" but you would only come to know about it whenever they are rejected. No one would know this in advance, so no point worrying about it.
This is probably about those people whose packets were returned by USCIS, I know someone whose packet was returned. These people will have to refile(ofcourse). They could not have rejected a case filed on July 2nd(too less a time to open and see if the required documents are in order).

True. But this is slower as this gets split in to all categories. For EB3 to get all of that or most of that will take years.
we can only speculate since even they don't know what they will do-- but my guess is it will be better ... they may try to give more visas for eb3 just to keep the gap between eb2/eb3 to around 5 years..since this attracts more filings which means more $$$
